This #Halffry witnessed the journey of Ektara Collective through Turup, a film made for the people and by the people.

Turup tells the story of three women, in the backdrop of growing right wing fundamentalism. As the boundaries of religion, caste, class, gender become clearer and more visible, lives intersect and engage, throwing open opportunities to subvert and transcend these barriers. A chess game which is always being played on a platform by the road becomes the metaphorical background to the playing out of these negotiations.
